The European Outdoor Group (EOG) is pleased to announce that the sports business platform ISPO, organiser of the key industry trade show, and industry giant W.L Gore & Associates have signed as major sponsors of the highly anticipated European Outdoor Summit (EOS) 2016, which will take place from 29-30th September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Barcelona, Spain.

Supported by the sector’s largest brands and organisations, this key industry event brings together more than 300 senior executives within the outdoor industry from across Europe and beyond.  Attendees participate in a dynamic and interactive event, which focuses on key strategic issues facing the sector. EOS 2015: Two Successful & Inspirational
Days in Sheffield

Following two full days of inspirational presentations and informative seminars and workshops, the organisers of the European Outdoor Summit 2015 (EOS 2015) are pleased to report that the Summit has been a resounding success; attracting huge support from the European outdoor industry and extremely positive feedback from both delegates and speakers.

[image]Taking place from 13th-15th October, 2015 in Sheffield – which is promoting itself as ‘The Outdoor Capital City of the UK’ #TheOutdoorCity – the EOS 2015, which was headline sponsored by Berghaus, ISPO and W.L Gore & Associates, hosted over 300 delegates from 20 countries across Europe, as well as the US, China and Canada, and attracted industry bosses, CEOs and directors from manufacturers, retailers, brands and national associations.

Featuring a strong line-up up of industry-relevant speakers, workshops, seminars, activities and social events designed to engage and bring together outdoor industry professionals, the EOS 2015 gave delegates an invaluable opportunity to learn how to better their businesses, as well as network with industry colleagues; making it the perfect platform for the continued development and progress of the outdoor industry.

The Summit started on Wednesday (14th October) morning with a welcome from CEO of the UK Outdoor Industries Association, Andrew Denton and the EOS’s master of ceremonies Steve McDermott, who compared the event in his distinctive insightful and entertaining manner, which broke the ice and kept delegates engaged throughout the whole event. EOS 2015 Presents Mountaineer Kenton Cool
to Speak at Gala Dinner

[image]The organisers of the European Outdoor Summit 2015 (EOS 2015) are pleased to announce that mountaineer, Kenton Cool, will be the after-dinner speaker at the main Gala dinner taking place at Sheffield Cathedral on Wednesday 14th October during the EOS 2015.

With 280 delegates already signed up, the EOS 2015, which takes place from 13th-15th October in Sheffield, UK, boasts two full days of engaging and motivational speeches, seminars, workshops and activities and has secured immense support from the whole of the outdoor industry. The addition of industry personality Kenton further strengthens the line-up and will add an entertaining and energetic dimension to the Gala dinner. He will present his talk: ‘One Man’s Everest‘.

The first person in history to complete the ‘Everest Triple Crown’ – Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse in a single climb in 2013, Kenton is an inspiration to his fans and regularly delivers speeches on all aspects of his many accomplishments in the outdoors and will entertain delegates with interesting stories from his adventures.
