When developing precision Elan Skis, a legacy brand handcrafting skis 100% made in the Alps for over 70 years, they put the highest level of skill, speed and agility to test. For 2017/2018 Elan is proud to introduce Arrow Technology found in the new SLX Skis and is full-loaded with energy from tip to tail.

Going fast and keeping it tight requires expertise from the skier and trust from the product. The new Elan SLX performs at the highest speeds with max level of confidence thanks to the Arrow Technology, derived from an arrow-shaped titanium layer that receives and transfers energy simultaneously from edge to edge for superior edge pressure, while the shape creates powerful precision in the tip when entering the turn and equally powerful control in the tail when exiting the turn.

The arrow-shaped titanium layer is strategically placed above a response frame wood core for the energy and personality inherent in a wood core and below a cambered carbon plate that acts as an energy booster. When all three layers are working in harmony with the skier, the Arrow Technology delivers world-class precision and accuracy.

When developing the SLX, Elan focused on how to bring skiers top performance, race-like skis that they can enjoy the entire day, without the usual fatigue experienced after a day of G-force turns. With the arrow shape, structural materials are cut from the tips for easier turn initiation and quicker turns with less effort and consequently less fatigue to enjoy more of the day out on the slopes with friends and family.

SLX:

  • Geometry: 120/68/103
  • Length cm (Radius M): 155 (11.5), 160 (12.5), 165 (13), 170 (14).
