The organisers of the European Outdoor Summit 2015 (EOS 2015) are pleased to announce that mountaineer, Kenton Cool, will be the after-dinner speaker at the main Gala dinner taking place at Sheffield Cathedral on Wednesday 14^th October during the EOS 2015.

With 280 delegates already signed up, the EOS 2015, which takes place from 13^th-15^th October in Sheffield, UK, boasts two full days of engaging and motivational speeches, seminars, workshops and activities and has secured immense support from the whole of the outdoor industry. The addition of industry personality Kenton further strengthens the line-up and will add an entertaining and energetic dimension to the Gala dinner. He will present his talk: ‘One Man’s Everest‘.

The first person in history to complete the ‘Everest Triple Crown’ – Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse in a single climb in 2013, Kenton is an inspiration to his fans and regularly delivers speeches on all aspects of his many accomplishments in the outdoors and will entertain delegates with interesting stories from his adventures.

Gift Your Gear Collects at EOS 2015

The organisers of the EOS 2015 are also pleased to announce that the OIA UK will be hosting a special Gift Your Gear collection at the Summit, where delegates will have the opportunity to donate old and unwanted items of outdoor kit and apparel.

A Gold Award winner at this year’s OutDoor show, Gift Your Gear provides outdoor clothing and equipment to community organisations, youth groups and charities working with young people in the outdoors. It aims to encourage people to donate unwanted outdoor clothing and equipment they no longer want or need and works with outdoor brands, festivals, event management companies, climbing walls and holiday companies to facilitate Gift Your Gear collection events.

Gift Your Gear will be collecting items of unwanted outdoor clothing and rucksacks at EOS 2015 registration on Wednesday 14th October. Please bring anything from personal items to unwanted samples. It is simple and easy, just bring any item and Gift Your Gear will get it all back out on the hills where it belongs.

To date Gift Your Gear has donated outdoor clothing and equipment to over three hundred community organisations, youth groups and charities. An estimation of recovered items in weight is in excess of 200,000 lbs – 90718.5 kilograms to date. See more information www.GiftYourGear.com
