With just one week to go until the outdoor industry’s networking event of the year lands in Sheffield, UK, it’s time to do a quick check list to make sure you have everything in place ready for a great European Outdoor Summit 2015!

Journey planned?
Sheffield is only 2 hours from London and 1 hour from Manchester by train and EOS 2015 delegates are offered a discounted travel rate. Click HERE to see information on how to book your discounted travel.

Hotel booked?
Once in Sheffield, you can stay in one of the many great value city centre hotels, which are all within walking distance from the EOS event venues. A map highlighting all EOS venues and hotels can also be downloaded for reference HERE.

Making your Summit choices

After booking your EOS 2015 place, you will have received a link to a survey which asks you to pick your choices for the whole event. This includes, break-out session participation, activities, evening social attendance & meal choices. If you haven’t already done so then please make your choices as soon as possible as this is very important to ensuring you can make the most of everything the Summit has to offer. Check you have included all of the below:

Break-out sessions chosen?
In addition to the keynotes speeches from the likes of former UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, Pentland Brands Chairman, Andy Rubin, and CEO of Camelbak, Sally McCoy, delegates can pick a seminar/break-out session each day on a whole host of interesting and relevant topics being delivered by some of the industry’s top experts. Pre/post or during Summit activities selected?
The EOS 2015 is offering free to all delegates, a whole range of exciting activities designed to let delegates experience Sheffield’s local outdoor pursuits. The activities on offer are suited to varying abilities and tastes and range from low impact city walks, to adrenaline pumping mountain biking, rock climbing, bouldering and fell running – all in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District, which is on Sheffield’s doorstep. Name down for evening social functions & meal choices made?
EOS 2015 is hosting two evening events designed to let delegates kick back, enjoy and socialise with fellow colleagues as well as make some new acquaintances – they are the ideal opportunity to relax after a day’s travel or the first day’s Summit.

  • Networking Dinner on Tuesday 13th October, Sheffield Winter Garden
    Free to all direct EOG members and members of national associations linked to the EOG, the dinner, which will be hosted by the EOG, will give delegates arriving the day before the Summit the invaluable opportunity to meet new or catch up with old associates or colleagues in a relaxed and informal setting. Takes place from 6.30pm till late.
  • Gala Dinner, Wednesday 14th October, Sheffield  Cathedral
    Sponsored by Berghaus, ISPO and W.L Gore and Associates, the main Gala dinner held in the stunning Sheffield Cathedral will give delegates the opportunity to socialise with colleagues in a more formal setting (dress is smart/casual). On arrival guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks before sitting down to a tempting three course meal in the magnificent venue. An after dinner speech will be given by mountaineer Kenton Cool.
