For the eleventh time about 300 teams of two from over 20 nations will rise to the challenge of the GORE-TEX® TRANSALPINE-RUN from August 29 until September 5, 2015. The athletes will have to master about 268 exciting trail kilometers and 16,310 meters in altitude on the renewed western route. And not only on the three new of the eight stages will they enjoy stunning views and gorgeous trails. Registration for this unique Alpine Crossing are  open from December 6, 2014 on www.transalpine-run.com.

The starting signal for the 11. GORE-TEX® TRANSALPINE-RUN will be given on August 29, 2015 in the Bavarian town of Oberstdorf. From there on, the trail leads through the two towns Lech and St. Anton at the foot of the mountain Arlberg to the city of Landeck in the region Tirol for the first time. On the fourth stage, the participants will cross the border to Switzerland and reach the next destination in the picturesque town of Samnaun. This little village, located in the Canton of Graubuenden, will then host the traditional mountain sprint for the first time in the history of the GORE-TEX® TRANSALPINE-RUN. After that, the trail will lead the participants to the town of Scuol and across the Italian border to the town of St. Valentin at the foot of the Reschenpass (a well-known mountain pass). The eighth and final stage eventually terminates in Sulden, a little mountain village at the foot of the mountain Ortler.
“I am very happy that in 2015 we can offer the participants a scenic and beautiful route with many demanding trails over the Alps again” says Uta Albrecht, the project manager from the PLAN B event company:” With the new stage location Landeck, the transition of the mountain sprint to Samnaun and the finish in Sulden for the first time, we have once more integrated something absolutely special for each of our faithful fans.”
