Everything is ready! The 32nd edition, BBVA Mountain Film Fest will screen 36 films in ten different sessions. Adventure, sky, alpinism, BASE salt and climbing are the ingredients of the festival which will take place in Torelló (Catalonia) on November 14th to 23rd. The staff hopes their projections will be good for you and we also have prepared extra activities to make you enjoy the mountain even more.

In fact, one of the most important plans they have for you is Jim Bridwell. It is true, ‘the bird’ will be in Torelló on Thursday 20th November in a homage session to receive Honor’s Edelweiss. We will have the opportunity  to ask him about the technical points that have converted him into one of the most important climbers in the world because of his experience in Yosemite.

And furthermore: the Catalan runners Núria Picas, Emma Roca and Mireia Miró will discuss about women and mountain; we will screen the oldest mountain film, ‘Cervino’, from 1901; and we have prepared expositions and activities like slackline and street boulder.

104 films have applied to participate in the BBVA Mountain Film Fest. The films come from France (24 docs), Spain (16), Austria (11) and USA (8), and some of them also are from Colombia, Island and India. So, 23 different countries are presenting film at the Fest.

The organization will select soon almost 30 films that at the end will compete in Torelló’s Fest. All them will allow us to enjoy mountain, nature and extreme sports. The awarded films will be known 22nd November night in Cirvianum theatre.
