Vaude M Freney Jacket IV with PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation 100% PCR

It’s no surprise that outdoor specialist Vaude is one of the first companies to use the most sustainable synthetic insulation on the market for its products. Starting in the winter season 2018/19, Vaude will convert all products that were previously equipped with PrimaLoft® Silver and Black Insulation to the 100% PCR versions by summer season 2019. Aaron Bittner, Head of Apparel at Vaude commented: “One of our key goals is to reduce the use of fossil fuels in our products and create closed circuits. PrimaLoft provides us with innovative solutions on this path ‘away from the oil’.”

One of the Summer 19 highlight products is the Freney Jacket IV. It provides lightweight heat retention for all weather conditions. This insulation jacket is ideal for cool and unpredictable climates because the water-repellent synthetic fibers – completely made from recycled polyester (PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation 100% PCR) – provides reliable warmth even when wet. The hooded jacket with a small pack size can be worn as an insulating mid layer or as a comfortable outer layer. Quilting on the side and at the back creates an understated, feminine look. The high-quality nylon outer material scores thanks to its low weight and high abrasion resistance; the materials are also certified in accordance with the eco-friendly bluesign® system. This product is made with eco-friendly, water repellent Eco Finish and is manufactured without the use of fluorocarbons (PFC).
