QUANTUM Five Ten <BR />Summer 2016

We started working on the quantum when Alex and Thomas Huber asked if they could help design a shoe. With their history of record-breaking speed ascents in Yosemite, daring solos, and standard-setting alpine link-ups, we jumped at the opportunity. We started with a C4 outsole, the Huber’s tackle many different angles and rock textures and C4 is our most versatile compound. The shoe also has a stiff midsole, so the shoe stays comfortable for extended periods of wear. The quantum is built on a new last, it is slightly downturned and a bit wider than our traditional downturned lasts. This lets your foot sit in a more natural position. The upper is a lined Clorino synthetic leather, so the shoe will have minimal stretch. Barrel lacing allows you to get in and out of the shoe quickly, and adjust on the fly. The tongue is a perforated ariaprene, which conforms to the foot and provides unmatched breathability.
