Red Bull Peaks Trilogy – 24 November, Mont Blanc

Published by Mountainblog on .

It’s never been tried before – scoring three of the highest mountains in the Alps without the use of a helicopter: Monte Rosa, Mont Blanc, and the Breithorn. The Three Peaks Trilogy combines Aaron Durogati‘s three biggest passions: speed flying, skiing and paragliding.
The innovative expedition – doable only by a unique multi-sport athlete like Aaron – is documented by photo and video.

The first goal was the summit of Monte Rosa (18 November). From Gressoney at 1,800 metres to Punta Gniffeti and 4,554 via the steep East Wall. Was it awesome? Definitely. Was it easy? Definitely not. After using only human power to arrive at the top of the Rose, Durogati opens up his canopy and drops into some hard-carving lines that test the power of gravity.

Check out the video above for the step-by-step story of Durogati’s first ascent in the Red Bull hree Peaks Trilogy.

Up next? Mont Blanc and the Breithorn. Check back in to Red Bull Adventure for the next episodes.
