ECOdolomites Short stop at Passo Furcia

ECOdolomites – the Trophy CAP Rally of the most energy-saving and quietest electric vehicles on the most beautiful peaks of the world – MUST be there, where being there really counts!

Eentries open for the ninth edition of ECO Dolomites, which will take place on the 8th of September on the Dolomite roads. Registration will be open to a maximum of 70 vehicles. To register for the CAP Trophy simply go to www.ecomove.cc, access the registration page, fill in the form and, if you have not yet done so, join the ECOmove Organisational Association with an annual contribution of €20.

Once again this year, participants will be able to experience the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and test their four, three and two-wheeled electric vehicles. In fact, the challenge is to use as little energy as possible to cover the approx. 100 km in the 3,000 m altitude difference. The route starts from Brunico towards San Vigilio via the Furcia Pass, stops for lunch in Corvara and then continues on to Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and Passo Sella and reaches Ortisei in Val Gardena.

Thanks to these initiatives we want to demonstrate that if there is the will it is possible to reduce pollution, not only air but also noise on the roads that cross the Dolomites and in particular the passes. “The environment around us is a common good that must be preserved and respected“, says Maximilian Costa, one of the creators.

The South Tyrolean association for the protection of the environment ECOmove renews its role as promoter of sustainable mobility by organizing this event, respecting the territory and nature. ECOmove, in collaboration with the city of Brunico, Plan de Corones, Val Gardena and Alta Badia, continues to raise awareness in favour of the environment, promoting the use of electric vehicles. “We love our land deeply and believe that South Tyrol can become an example as a region that pays more attention to sustainable tourism and mobility,” says Daniel Campisi of LETSMOVE, one of the three founding partners together with Janpaul Clara of Electro Clara and Maximilian Costa. “We are increasingly numerous to believe in a sustainable South Tyrol to be left to future generations”, continues the president of ECOmove. “Many companies contribute to the association’s mission and assist the various initiatives to which we owe our thanks”.
