The power of international freeride is alive and well as the first-ever event in the Middle East, a FWQ 2* competition, united riders with sport in the mountains of Lebanon this month. An unforgettable experience for all participants, this historic event was marked by the generous hospitality of the host country and the exciting development of the sport in the region.

Further East there are now two events in Japan this year: the second edition of the Hakuba 3*, and the Arai 2* which will take place on March 7-9 with a roster of international competitors including Freeride World Tour (FWT) athlete Taisuke Kusunoki’s (JPN) sister, Reimi Kusunoki (JPN).

After a temporary layoff, Norway is back with a 2* event in Sogndal and more FWQ events to follow in April.

Freeride is a force to be reckoned with and the tribe of athletes across the planet is a testimony the growing footprint of the sport in so many diverse locations.

New events are always in the works, so stay tuned to FWQ social media channels and www.freerideworldtour.com for the latest news.
