SOCHI 2014: “Games have always been a little gay” From Canada, the ironic awareness

Published by Mountainblog on .

The Sochi Olympics Games 2014 are about to start after several polemics: first among everything, the  Russian attitude towards homosexuality.

In order to fight against it, is it possible to support the equality even with just 30 seconds long video. A clip pretty ironic produced  by the Canadian Institute of Diversity and Inclusion who has launched a controversial LGBT PSA just in time for the Olympics, claiming the games have “always been a little gay.

“The discrimination in Russia is unacceptable,” says Michael Bach, Founder and CEO of the CIDI, “As an organization, we want to show our support, especially for the athletes competing at the Olympics in Sochi.”

The CIDI is also inviting the public to show their support for equality during the games by  changing Facebook profiles pictures to the silhouette of two lugers forming the equals symbol. An initiative that has already got more than one million subscritions!
