The North Face® is proud to present #Evolve, the first autobiographical short film featuring Italian climber Jacopo Larcher. The short film follows Larcher through his climbing career, starting from competition climbing in gyms to leaving its boundaries and exploring the world beyond.

Larcher stepped into his first pair of climbing shoes when he was 11 at a local gym’s youth climbing course. He soon developed the affinity and skills for the sport, and began competing in national and European circuits. Even though Larcher was traveling frequently for competitions, he barely had a chance to experience anything beyond the gyms. As such, he felt a strong desire to break out, do something more, and connect with nature. With that in mind, Larcher left the competition circuit and took his skills outdoors. Since then, he not only explored new territories and mountains with new people, but also experimented with different styles of climbing. The step Larcher took to go outside is the start of a long journey to keep exploring the world, learn about himself, challenge his limits, and find new ambitions to take on.

Currently, Larcher continues to evolve as a climber and as a person, while trotting the globe for new routes to scale. In June, Larcher will be joining other The North Face climbers such as Hansjöerg Auer, Iker Pou, Eneko Pou, and Siebe Vanhee to scour Siberia’s rugged landscaped and untapped potential for testing climbs.
