VAUDE – Alpine Backpack BULIN “Made in Germany”

Published by Mountainblog on .

Limited Edition – Unlimited Performance

For the first time since 1990, VAUDE, the mountain sports leader, will once again be producing an alpine backpack in Germany. With painstaking craftsmanship and high-frequency welding technology for waterproof seams, VAUDE has engineered a truly unique pack for a long mountaineering life, yet only in a very limited special edition.

The experienced alpinist can do without many things on the mountains – but not without a reliable backpack. The Bulin 30 is an uncompromising alpine backpack with a functional, minimalist design – and an unbeatable eco-balance as well! This backpack is manufactured using a completely carbon-neutral production process at VAUDE headquarters in Obereisenbach, where VAUDE has been developing cutting-edge mountain sports gear since 1974. This return to our “production roots” provides us with the opportunity to combine our entire experience and technological know-how in one product. The focus here is on functionality, the streamlined design speaks for itself. Bulin is engineered to be the perfect pick for glacier expeditions or North wall ascents. Available only in a Limited Edition of 30 and 40 liter sized backpacks.
With VAUDE‘s proven high-frequency welding process the top and bottom of the backpack are made completely waterproof. In addition, seams are taped inside of the lid. Without any perforation, the rugged 200 D Hollowfiber Polyamide is made for highest abrasion resistance when rock climbing. All other technical features ensure highest alpine performance:

• Detachable top lid, with rope attachment under top lid
• HF welded ice pick holster
• Waterproof zips and easy access front compartment
• Ergonomic Muscle-Flex suspension system with light Alu frame
• Efficient roll closure

Climate Neutral Manufacturing
All greenhouse gas emissions from the VAUDE headquarters in Tettnang are systematically recorded, reduced and compensated for via the Gold Standard climate protection projects of the non-profit organization, myclimate. As such, all of the products manufactured in Tettnang are climate neutral: All emissions from the materials, manufacturing process and logistics were fully offset.
