Dear EOCA Friends,

Well the first ever autumn vote closed last night at midnight. Many thanks to everyone who got involved. In total EOCA received 36,100 votes to choose which of the shortlisted projects will receive funding.

This is how each of the categories fared:

    • Nature – total votes 19,735
      Bamboo Domestication  7%
      Bins for Beaches  5%
      Sangai Deer  17%
      Tiger Habitat  9%
      Angel Sharks  20%
      Manta Rays  19%
      Gangetic Dolphins  24%

 

    • Outdoor – total votes 7686
      Glen Affric 55%
      Lake Bosomtwe  8%
      Mangrove Conservation  24%

  • Alpine – total votes 8689
    Rwanda Chimpanzees  12%
    Red Panda Nepal  31%

The winning projects which will receive EOCA funding are:

  1. Glen Affric Forest Landscape Project , Scotland
  2. Restoration of important habitats for the Gangetic Dolpin, India
  3. Restoring Roaches Footpaths, England
