Hence the concept that led to the development and creation of the Spring/Summer 2022 collection. The company from Ziano di Fiemme, leader in the field of outdoor footwear and technical clothing, addresses the issue of conscious sustainability, a complex and challenging path that requires long-term investment and consistency.

For some years, La Sportiva has defined this approach as “ECOLUTION”, a word that describes an evolutionary process and permeates every activity of the company, starting from the design phase of new products, engaging the R&D areas in the search for lower impact, biodegradable eco-friendly or recycled raw materials, to extend to all stages of the production process: the fundamental objective is to progressively reduce CO2 emissions, processing waste and packaging.
The commitment to an approach that is as sustainable as possible in the production of new collections and products, that maintain their degree of innovation but in an eco-friendly perspective, is well expressed in the new Spring/Summer collection, which will be available on the market from spring 2022.
The new collection represents a decisive leap forward in terms of eco-sustainability: most of the new clothing is made, in fact, with the use of organic cotton, recycled or bio-degradable synthetic fabrics. The company also aims to minimize the impact of packaging thanks to a significant reduction in plastic packaging, the use of compact hangtags printed on recycled paper with eco inks.
In the footwear collection there are many new additions and technical measures to reduce the impact on the planet: the new line from Hiking TX HIKE, for example, uses 65% recycled materials, while all the laces used in the Climbing, Approach and Mountain Running lines are made of recycled material. In addition, the insoles of the running line are made entirely with components derived from the re-use of the raw material within the production cycle.
Thanks to the resoling service, La Sportiva has always promoted the regeneration of products to give a second life to climbing boots and shoes. With this process, tradition meets innovation: from now on, thanks to the new RESOLE PLATFORM on the TX2 EVO shoe, resoling will be even easier. By contacting a network of authorized, highly qualified professionals trained directly by the Trentino company, it will be possible to give a second life to the shoe while preserving all the original performance characteristics: Resole reuse and renew is imperative for La Sportiva, an operations and development mantra.
