La Sportiva outdoor

Innovation, sustainability, and technicality are the pillars on which the new SS23 collection is based, previewed at the trade show from the 12th to the 14th of June.

After two years of forced stop, the largest fair dedicated to the outdoor world was back in Munich and  La Sportiva, a Fiemme Valley company, leader in the production of technical mountaineering equipment, has confirmed its presence by exhibiting all the new items of its spring/summer 2023 collection for the first time.

Technicality and authenticity of the product are the key words behind the new clothing and footwear lines, without forgetting the approach called ecolution, which has been used for years to describe an evolutionary process that permeates each phase of the company’s activities, from design to production. In fact, for La Sportiva, the high specialisation in the production of outdoor products is combined with an approach that is as sustainable as possible, with the aim of accompanying enthusiasts on their adventures without forgetting to respect the environment surrounding them.

The innovations presented at the fair embrace all the product categories in which La Sportiva operates: climbing, trekking, mountaineering and Mountain Running®. The company offers a wide range of tools designed to understand consumers’ needs and help them go beyond their comfort zone, urging them to overcome their limits and climb their daily mountains. In addition to this, most of the products in the collection are made using a variety of patents and technologies that confirm the role of La Sportiva as a reference brand for the entire outdoor community.

“Returning to OutDoor by ISPO was an excellent opportunity not only to present this season’s new products, but also to focus more clearly on the emerging trends of our market sectors” commented Giulia Delladio, Corporate Marketing Director of La Sportiva.

“The pandemic has certainly changed our lifestyle and more and more people are now approaching the outdoors by practicing activities that until a couple of years ago were considered niche. Our new collection is targeted at those people too, with the aim of supporting them in their outdoor activities right from the start, presenting a range of products that meet all their needs”.

Among the major innovations in footwear are the Mistral and Miura models in the climbing category, Jackal II BOA for trail running, Aequilibrium Speed for mountaineering. The  TX4 R approach model is one of the flagship products of the collection, designed with the brand new resole platform, presented in the SS22 season: by turning to a network of authorised resole makers, the Trentino brand’s project is intensified, giving new life to the approach shoe while preserving all its original performance characteristics. The idea of sustainability comes ever closer to that of technicality: resole, reuse and renew while ensuring high safety standards and maximum performance.

Also on the apparel side, the SS23 collection represents a further step towards an increasingly responsible approach. The use of recycled or biodegradable synthetic fabrics in all product categories is the fil-rouge that accompanies the line, which integrates numerous innovations in all disciplines. From Mountain Running® to climbing, La Sportiva’s new garments are designed to ensure high levels of breathability and lightness, as well as fast drying of perspiration during the most demanding activities. The X-Cursion line, already dominant in the SS22 collection, further evolves and presents garments that ensure an active response to temperature changes in the body and in the surrounding environment, and guarantee comfort and breathability to whoever wears them.
