Rewoolution Summer Raid 2013: Italian Adventure Race Coming Back To Bergamo

Only one week has passed by the end of the most exciting and eagerly awaited Raid of the year and the adrenaline is still flowing among all the athletes who took part at this first and growing up Italian Adventure Race. The starting signal was fixed Saturday June 1st and the day after, when more than 40 teams made of 3 athletes reached the amazing town of Bergamo, a roman bastion at the foot of the Orobie prealps to put their selves to the test on two distinct routes, different for distance and difficulty made of running, cycling, climbing and orienteering all over the Italian town.

Rewoolution Raid does not mean only sport and extreme performance, but strategy and concentration above all, in order to find the quickest way to the end on the road map and get as much points as possible from the check point and from the sport trials. At the end of first summer match, the Pedini- Iret Team (Roberto Mattioli, Andrea Visioli, Michele Sartori) got on the first step of the Rewoolution podium for the Long route, while Shawerma Team (Riccardo Benis, Diego Mosca, Raffaele Sonzogni) got the gold medal for the short route.

Due to this excellent result, more of the athletes are now on the way to repeat this experience in Nago-Torbole, where on the basis of the chart of both the matches, the final ambitious prize will be assigned: an amazing trip to New Zealand, to discover the native land of the wool fabric of Rewoolution products taking part to a challenging week of outdoor sports.
