Bad weather conditions, sun and mosquitos are not a problem with the right equipment. Lafuma proposes in its SS17 collection specific gears designed to protect you against those elements, while hiking or travelling.

THE PERFECT RAIN JACKET
A complete offer of protective shells that are breathable, waterproof, windproof and packable, to be easily stowed in your backpack. Like the Tracklight Jacket, in Climactive, feather-weight (just 360 gr), featuring an integrated hood and large pockets, or the Shift GTX Jacket in GORE-TEX.

UV PROTECTION
Especially in Tropical climate or for long-hour sun exposure, protecting your skin against the UV is extremely important. For this reason, most of the apparel from Lafuma hiking range feature a UV UPF 30 filter in their fabrics. Like the Compass Shirt, in a polyamide quick-drying fabric improved with a nice cotton feel, or the LD Access Zipoff pant, convertible into short, in Ripstop fabric. Both products earned the EcoLife label.

MOSQUITOS PROTECTION
To avoid mosquitos bites, Lafuma has created an essential-oils finishing free form chemicals, applied directly on the yarn- a lab-tested barrier that stays active even after 30 washes. The Explorer Shirt offers this protection, along with functional multi-pocket and an urban look perfect for trekking or travelling.

The EcoLife label devised by Lafuma is a set of product-development constraints that reduce environmental impact without getting in the way of performance. At least 40% of product weight must be a low-impact material. In the SS17 collection, 68% of clothing products carry the EcoLife label, a rise of 126% compared to last season, while 40% of packs earned this label, thanks to two new recycled materials. Moreover, 67% of Lafuma clothing products with a water-repellent finish are PFC free.
