A longstanding collaboration renewed and evolving under the banner of technique, authenticity, and a shared vision Ziano di Fiemme (TN), 25 march 2026 – La Sportiva announces that, starting from March 1 2026, Iker and Eneko Pou—among the most internationally recognized climbers and alpinists—have chosen to adopt a complete La Sportiva total look, taking a new step in the evolution of a long-standing collaboration that, until now, had focused on footwear. This new phase of the partnership consolidates a historic relationship built on trust and shared values, reflecting a common approach to the mountains that combines passion, experience, and technical expertise.

Iker ed Eneko Pou are among the most versatile and influential alpinists of their generation. In over thirty years of shared activity, they have accumulated more than 3 million meters of elevation gain across approximately 80,000 climbing routes worldwide, from the Picos de Europa and the Alps to the Himalayas, the Andes, Africa, and Antarctica. Since 2000, they have formed a rope team that has made a decisive contribution to the evolution of modern alpinism, through ascents that combine extreme difficulty with sustained commitment on big walls. Among their most representative projects are “Seven Walls, Seven Continents,” benchmark big walls such as “Bravo les Filles” in Madagascar, rock routes up to grade 9a, and numerous first ascents in alpine style, including “Truenu” in the Picos de Europa and new lines in the Cordillera Blanca in Peru—a journey that has established them internationally as a benchmark for consistency, vision, and technical rigor. It is within this context that the evolution of the relationship between La Sportiva and the Pou brothers takes place. After years of vertical expeditions undertaken with the brand’s footwear, Iker and Eneko are now bringing this long-standing collaboration to a new level. Starting in March 2026, the two alpinists have adopted a complete La Sportiva total look, extending the trust built in the fieldto technical apparel as well. This evolution stems from a shared vision of mountain performance—authentic and responsible, deeply rooted in real-world experience on the terrain.

“For us, climbing has always been a way to push beyond our limits while staying true to our values. In La Sportiva, we have found a partner that understands and shares this vision of the mountains. After many years of expeditions and projects carried out together, the move to a total look partnership came naturally as the evolution of a long-standing collaboration built on trust.” – Iker and Eneko Pou.

“Our relationship with Iker and Eneko has been built in the field, expedition after expedition. Over time, we have recognized a shared way of experiencing the mountains, grounded in respect, passion, and a constant drive to push one’s limits. The decision to move to a complete La Sportiva total look stems from this journey of mutual trust and shared values, and expresses their desire to extend their connection with the brand beyond footwear, as the natural evolution of a partnership that grows stronger year after year.
