The theme for this year’s Summit is The Outdoor Industry – Redefining Boundaries, with speakers touching on topics such as social innovation, biotechnology, global sharing, industry case studies and forging new collaborations.

Added to the line up are:

Donna Carpenter Co-CEO & Co-Owner of Burton Snowboards who presents: Staying True – The Importance of Company Values. In this insightful keynote Donna will point out the importance of staying true to founding values, and the significance of constantly evaluating the company culture. Inclusiveness and sustainability are two of the most important principles that Burton Snowboards has embraced from the very beginning. From a startup to the world’s leader in Snowboarding, the company has been undergoing constant change while living up to its core values. Today, Donna is constantly striving to make Burton radically inclusive while pushing boundaries on sustainability and women’s leadership.
On attending the EOS Donna says: “The European Outdoor Summit brings together the ‘who is who’ of the Outdoor world. I am very much looking forward to an exciting exchange with the other attendees and I am eager to listen to the keynotes of the fellow speakers. Only if we work together as an industry, we can make real positive change in the world. Our common goal should be creating awareness for the environment, but also getting people off their phones and back into the outdoors.”

CEO for We Hunt for Heads, Magnus Ohlsson, who presents:
The Challenge of Change 2020. Retailers and brands are struggling to survive and find their roles in a changing environment where growing ecommerce and market places are pushing the margins down.

Magnus, who has been working in retail for the last 25 years and as an advisor on future trends, business and brand strategy, explores what can be done to build a strong brand and why this is imperative to prosper in the decade to come.

The EOG is also pleased to announce that The Outdoor Industry Compass has been chosen as the main Media Partner of this year’s European Outdoor Summit and is extremely pleased to welcome one of its senior editors, Wolfgang Greiner, as the moderator for the EOS.

Offering excellent value for money, the EOS delegate place costs just €650. In addition to a full programme of presentations, the EOS rate also includes a Networking Evening, which this year is a barbeque event and takes place on Thursday 26th September. During the evening, Kendal Mountain Festival will share some inspirational adventure films from past festivals. For those wanting to keep the night going there will be free casino tokens provided to make use of in the on-site Casino Interlaken.
