Gentletent: Easy Camping for Everyone

Published by Mountainblog on .

A new generation of camping tents aims to facilitate camping for casuals, experienced campers and all people, who like to save time, stress and money.

Gentletent , an Austrian startup company recently launched its crowdfunding campaign to gain additional funds for the start of its serial production. Their newly developed airtents put an end to all the flaws of common tents including complicated build-ups, poor quality, dozens of tent parts and their low functionality.
With the help of their future clients Gentletent aims to establish the further production of their Gentletents. Interested people can preorder them during the crowdfunding campaign at IndieGogo.com and benefit of special reduced prices starting at €279.

Here’s the link to the campaign.

Gentletent is offering 3 types of airtents. All of them include their unique approach for an easy and fast build-up. Based on an air-filled pipe system, these camping tents don’t include any poles. They are inflated in less than a minute and use high quality components to resist any wind and weather. By using airtent technology, Gentletent is able to create a whole new design and shape for a camping tent which isn’t just about aesthetics though. The unique shape offers better rain water outlet, tall persons benefit from the length and the tent walls don’t
skew down on the edges as perceived on igluu tents.

Besides usability, Gentletent is focusing on functionality as a major skill of their tents too, especially when it comes down to casual campers or people who like to travel with their cars, motorcycle or caravans. Gentletents can be attached to any vehicle creating an additional awning. This seamless connection has never been seen before and will provide a comfortable and money-saving alternative for common 3rd party awnings.

Although Gentletents provide a generous room from 2-person up to 6-person tents, they can fit into packages as tiny as a bedroll. Abandoning poles and other tent parts results in a small package size which even fits into the panier of a motorcycle.
During their crowdfunding launch press conference, Gentletent CEO, Gernot Rammer, presented the official Genteltent pitch video, illustrating the company’s vision and some major aspects of their unique tents. He also underlines the importance of crowdfunding for start ups: „It’s probably the only and most customer focused possibility to realize an idea. For us, it has always been the first choice because crowdfunding offers so much more than just raising funds. It’s a great way to communicate with our customers, share our idea and cooperate with them on our project. We are looking forward to many supporters!
