A new entry @ the Kiku. International Mountain Summit are our new packages, the so-called „adventure backpacks“, presented this year in a new way. These packages, which revolve around the town of Brixen, should at first allow people to encounter a variety of new experiences. In this connection, we focused on three different topics: Encountering the MOUNTAIN, whereby we are not only going to be visiting the most beautiful mountainous regions in South Tyrol (such as the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo [“The Three Peaks of Lavaredo”] guided by Christoph Hainz); we are also going to enter into the inner core of the mountain. We have the chance to visit the oldest mine of the Alps, the mine of Villanders, guided by the members of the head office of the association of local museums, who started to restore the mine many years ago to open it for visitors. The members of the association also built a 300 step spiral stair, which is a masterpiece of handcraft.
We will also visit the building site of the longest railway tunnel between Austria and Italy, the Brenner Base Tunnel. A very different place of interest compared to the rest of our activities.

Encountering the mountain dwellers presents many extraordinary stories to you originating from even more extraordinary people. The famous Joey Kelly will seat on the stage with Alfred Stoll. He is innkeeper of a mountain refuge and skilled carpenter; in 2006, with the help of 34 friends, he started to restore the ruins of the Mountain Refuge Bonner and changed it in one of the most beautiful refuges of the Alps. This is a very extraordinary mountain story! We also want to introduce you Florian Meister, the 1,5 billion Euro businessman, who spends two months every year on the Weitenbergalm in Pfunders with 50 cows and makes fantastic cheese.

Last but not least is encountering the mountain soul, which is a very important experience and shows how strong the own will is to achieve goals, overcome mountains and to motivate oneself. We are glad to have at the IMS two special guests, both trainers for public speaking and moderators: the bestseller author and rhetoric trainer Matthias Pöhm and Cristián Gálvez.

Lawyers, politicians , members of CAI and AVS, doctors and sports goods companies talk about the important topic  „Mountain freedom vs. risk  – a discussion without reaching the peak“.

The IMS offers a rich and various program, with all kind of entertainment, suspense, movement and especially fun. The program is also full of a variety of stories and contents.
