for its FW24-25 Season

From a collaboration with Adam Ondra to a growing commitment to increasingly conscious production, the Trentino company revolutionises the outdoors market.

La Sportiva, a Val di Fiemme company and leader in the production of technical clothing and footwear for outdoor activities, officially presents its new collections for the forthcoming 2024/2025 winter season.

The line is the result of meticulous work initiated by the La Sportiva experts, with inputs from alpine guides and athletes, the mountain folk who regularly frequent these territories and experience them firsthand. The result is a technical, high-performance and quality collection, made up of innovations in the climbing, ski mountaineering and all round mountaineering sectors, but which also offers an update of iconic models in other disciplines. The star attraction in the field of climbing tools is Ondra Comp, a new shoe designed in collaboration with climbing legend Adam Ondra. Born from a brainwave of the athlete to meet the needs of his foot, the result is a product created jointly by Adam and the brand’s research and development department for all lovers of indoor climbing. A thorough process involving prototype development, continuous testing on the wall and feedback, aimed at creating a technical and high-performing tool for the three most common scenarios in modern bouldering: grip spread, toe hooks and the trickiest heel hooks.

Ondra Comp introduces onto the market a new product, Sensegrip® Technology, a new patent for the exclusive use of La Sportiva, developed to revolutionise the concept of bouldering shoes and to raise the performance bar on the wall. Thanks to the use of this technology on the half-sole and rubber toe cap, the tool allows greater sensitivity and adaptability during the toe attachment phase, as well as exceptional penetrability and grip in the central area of the sole.

Innovation and research are also in evidence in the ski mountaineering sector, where La Sportiva introduces Kilo, state of the art for this discipline. Derived from racing boots, it is intended for ski mountaineers looking for maximum lightness uphill, without sacrificing performance downhill. Thanks to the innovative Grilamid Bio Based LF Carbon® formula, studied and designed specifically for this tool, the shell and cuff ensure high rigidity and protection, whilst guaranteeing minimum weight and maximum comfort from the first time of wearing. Another innovation is Stratos Hybrid, a competition boot dedicated to racers and promising youngsters in this discipline, which combines features from the racing and ski mountaineering worlds in a single product. Excellent fit and performance in a boot weighing less than 730g make it the lightest in its class. What’s more, the shell, produced in the Ziano di Fiemme laboratories, combines the best of artisan tradition and technological innovation, key features of the new collection.

The Trango range now introduces the Trango Pro GTX, a boot developed for the most demanding users, looking for safety and performance on technical alpine routes. A point of reference for over 30 years, the Trango line stands out for lightness, use of grippy compounds and peculiar adaptability which, in this tool, combine with the new Trango-Ergo shape, designed to best adapt and fit different foot shapes and allow precise, comfortable and safe progression on the most difficult terrain. Thanks to the new La Sportiva Vortex gaiter, the climbing boot hugs the mountaineer’s leg, preventing debris and snow from entering the boot.

In the field of Winter Mountain Running®, the iconic Bushido III model is updated with the use of GoreTex technology. The result is Bushido III GTX, a reference model for skyrunners which, in addition to the standards of precision fit, renowned comfort and stability of movement, integrates the GTX membrane, guaranteeing athletes maximum protection from the elements during mountain running activities. And for Mountain Hiking, we now offer Akyra II, also available in the GTX version, footwear designed for use on muddy terrain, thanks to the excellent sole package, which ensures grip and adherence, combined with comfort and ultralightness for fast&light performance.

As regards the clothing collection, here too, careful research into materials and new solutions with low environmental impact are the key elements of the work of our R&D department. Respect for the territory and the Planet are key aspects for La Sportiva, which continues to invest in patenting proprietary technologies, such as Evo Shell®, which boasts 100% recycled, PFC and PFTE/PFAS free garments, and collaborates with strategic partners who share the company’s responsible and conscious vision.
The Alpine Tech line, the jewel in the crown of technical mountaineering, expands with the introduction of the Alpine Guide GTX and Olympus Tech Down GTX suits. The former, tested and approved by guides across the Alps, is an outfit consisting of a jacket and trousers for mountaineering, ski mountaineering and all round mountaineering activities, and is the result of the combination of GoreTex Active and GoreTex Pro Shell technologies, used to guarantee excellent comfort and unparalleled technicality.

Olympus Tech Down GTX, meantime, is an outfit carefully designed in collaboration with athletes to ensure maximum thermal stability, reducing to a minimum the degree of external heat loss. This is the most competitive line on the market in terms of weightheat ratio which, thanks to the innovative construction of the 3D Aero® chambers, allows the 1000 CU.IN. quality down to expand to the maximum and retain as much heat as possible during high altitude adventures and Himalayan expeditions.
These two tools complete the Alpine Tech line, already presented in the FW23 collection, which returns as a protagonist for all those looking for a perfect ally in technical clothing to tackle the most arduous adventures in the high mountains and in severe weather conditions.

For ski mountaineers who want garments with the highest level of performance, La Sportiva introduces Crossridge Softshell Pants, waterrepellent trousers made of recycled fabric with an abrasion resistance value of over 50,000 revolutions on the Martindale scale. Thanks to the use of the Sympatex® membrane, the product contributes to a drastic reduction in the carbon footprint of the production processes, resulting in a garment that is both highperformance and ecofriendly.

Lightness, compressibility and protection from atmospheric agents are the key features of the new Ethereal Pro Jkt, one of the lightest three-layer rain shells on the market, developed and shaped to ensure excellent freedom of movement on alpine trails. The product is the latest addition to the wide range of garments studied and designed for the needs of runners, further raising the performance bar of La Sportiva solutions for Mountain Running®. Added to this is the Blizzard Insulated Vest, thermal vest, elastic and breathable and which, combined with La Sportiva’s rich baselayer line, forms the perfect barrier against the wind and allows you to tackle racing stages, even in the harshest winters. Our new VapoVent Hive technology, with its semi-rigid, three-dimensional mesh, guarantees maximum thermal capacity for uncompromising sporting activity.

La Sportiva is committed to implementing best practices, virtuous measures aimed at reducing its footprint on the territory and promoting a corporate culture that focuses on the protection of mountains and their ecosystem, and improving the quality of life of communities. This is made possible by the passion that drives the company in its constant search for low-impact solutions, innovative strategic partners and major investments in research and development. The years 2021 and 2022 were characterised by strong growth and, in order to respect the values of correctness, loyalty, integrity and transparency we promise consumers and to highlight its commitment in terms of corporate responsibility, La Sportiva has produced a Sustainability Report for the year 2021-2022, available for consultation at this link.
