Gentletent Publishes Bold Guerilla Campaign Video With Their Unique Camping Tents

Published by Mountainblog on .

The Austrian airtent start-up, Gentletent, is promoting its crowdfunding campaign launching April 25, 2015, with a spectacular series of unusual tent-stunts. These so called #ComingHome events take place at uncommon locations such as a chimney in the popular creative co-working space Tabakafabrik Linz or a cliff diving spot at the Wolfgangsee in Salzburg. The video of the first event entitled „You can fly“ has been published on Facebook and YouTube already gathering more than 14,000 views.

We have built some really sophisticated airtents which prove their excellence during daily camping routine. But our events demonstrate that they can even master challenges beyond their traditional use”, states Jürgen Haller, architect and technical director of Gentletent.

The Vienna/Linz-based company has planed to host more events in the upcoming weeks. “We’d like to convince as many people as possible until April 25 which marks the start of our crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.com”, notes Gentletent CEO, Gernot Rammer. Encouraging potential customers is the main goal of this campaign. By raising money in exchange for pre-ordered Gentletents, the company will further establish and start the mass production and market entry. The first batch of tents will be available for sale by July 2014.

The premiere event impressively highlights two important aspects of a Gentletent: Due to the unibody design and its rod-free structure, Gentletents are nearly indestructible and extremely resistant to impacts and pressure. “There are neither rods nor other parts which can be broken”, explains CTO, Jürgen Haller. The extreme conditions also prove the quality of these products. Built upon the finest textiles and
components from world leading manufacturers Gentletents withstand extreme loads while traditional products would fail.

Jürgen Haller: “You’ll realise the quality of our tents by the the first touch. A feeling of stability, security and value has been achieved. There is no cheap plastic look and feel. Our Gentletents are designed to be everlasting camping companions”.
