Karpos’ journey towards sustainable development has begun.

In recent years awareness has evolved: it is not just a question of where we want to go or what we want to achieve, but how we want to do it.

We are here to imagine a different tomorrow: this is why we want to inspire others, to design a future together in harmony with nature and the mountains.

Through our activities we want to leave an ever more marked positive footprint on our surroundings and at the same time lighten the negative one as much as possible.

A footprint which recalls the brand logo (fusion between human and gecko’s hands) is the image chosen by Karpos in its sustainability manifesto to express its commitment to a responsible approach to business activities.

Starting from the development of technical and performance garments, with the introduction of natural fibers and the use of recycled materials that care about the environment and consumer health that are part of the development of the most recent collections.

In addition to this, a social responsibility strategy developed in synergy with the MVC group, to guarantee the well-being of its employees and respect for human rights in the value chain, but also for the animals from which feathers and wool are obtained, and the environment. To make its activities less invasive towards nature, the brand born at the foot of the Dolomites has started to use exclusively sustainable and renewable energy in the Fonzaso (BL) headquarters, also using recycled plastic bags to send its garments to all its markets starting from 2023.

Finally, the commitment to lengthen the life cycle of products by giving simple advice, or to use rolls of fabrics still in stock to create a new garment, with the same performance, but without resorting to another production cycle.

An approach that therefore wants to involve all the processes and people involved in Karpos’ activities, through which the brand intends to leave a trace that is as sustainable as possible by making everyone participate in its own change.

“The activities we have launched in recent years with the support of the MVC group represent a starting point for Karpos” explains Giuseppe Lira, Karpos Brand Manager, “our goal is to make our impact on the outdoor and in general in the textile and manufacturing market, starting from a conscious approach in our actions, both as a company and as individuals, and sending constructive messages to the new generations. We know that the journey is long, which is why the only goal that we have set ourselves in managing daily activities and developing new collections is to ask ourselves how we can constantly improve them.”

Among the activities presented by Karpos in the appropriate section of the website are those undertaken through Help The Mountains-1% for the outdoor community, the program through which Karpos has been supporting initiatives related to the maintenance, promotion and development of the mountain territory since 2021, investing 1% of its turnover every year.
