There will be plenty going on at Lake Constance to mark OutDoor’s anniversary. While the activities for end customers in the city centre are new, the OutDoor Party at the exhibition centre and the get-together at the LIFESTYLE Village are long-established industry musts.

Those who want to inform themselves about the latest trends can go online and watch the industry discussion at the beginning of the trade fair – and discover interesting facts about storytelling and bloggers during the keynote speech.

Live stream of the international OutDoor Press Conference

To get OutDoor started, John Jansen (President of the European Outdoor Group /EOG), Ryan Gellert (General Manager EMEA with Patagonia), Bernd Kullmann (Outdoor legend and former Managing Director of Deuter) and Stefan Reisinger (Head of Department OutDoor/EUROBIKE, Messe Friedrichshafen) will be discussing the current situation of the industry and future challenges. The talk at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, 17 June 2018 will be moderated by ARD sports reporter Bernd-Uwe Gutknecht.

So that as many industry representatives as possible can benefit from this discussion, the talk will be aired live both on the OutDoor website and on Facebook (inclusive of simultaneous translation into English).

Lifestyle Village presents trends and themes

The Lifestyle Village, in which the latest trends in the areas of apparel, footwear and accessories are presented, offers a 360° picture of the industry. This area, which is completely booked out, not only provides an overview of the latest products but, on Monday, will also give visitors a look behind the scenes. At the “Tell us your Story” event, companies will be presenting the stories and people behind their firms. The Lifestyle Collection PARTY will be taking place afterwards with activities such as a gin tasting.
The Lifestyle Village is supported by our partner, Sportswear International.

Raising the roof: OutDoor Party on Tuesday

Naturally, we’ll also be partying at the anniversary trade fair. The legendary OutDoor Party will kick off once the trade fair ends on 19 June. The band “Midnight Special” will be blasting out rock in the Open-Air Area West, while DJ Shorty & DJ Lucky will be spinning discs in the Atrium.

Partygoers can get their “admission ticket” – a GORE-TEX party shirt – in the East and West Foyers for 15 euros. This price includes all food and four drinks. After the party, the Messe-Express will transport you safely to the city centre where more public transport is available.
